15th USPE European Police Championship Handball Men

The Hungarian National Police Men's Handball Team participated in the EPC Handball. The championship was organized by the Danish Police Sport Association in Silkeborg between 29^th May and 5^th June.

Our team played in group “A” with Germany, Norway and Switzerland. The first match was against the favourite Germany who had some 1^st division Bundesliga players in their squad. Germany won by 34-25. The second match was a must win match against Switzerland. After a close battle Hungary came up winning by on goal (27-26). The third match against Norway decided the place in the semi-final. This time Norway was too strong for our team and they got into the semi-final. The score was 33-28.

For the fifth place Hungary played against Greece and they won by 31-28 with some quality play. Hungary finished in the best place in the history of the European Police Championship.

The final result of the Championship: 1. Germany, 2. Demark, 3. France, 4. Norway, 5. Hungary, 6. Greece, 7. Switzerland, 8. Austria
